Product Care Guide

Regular light care protects appearance, reduces avoidable noise and helps structural and moving parts work correctly.

Upholstered frames

  • Vacuum gently with a clean upholstery attachment on a low setting.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean absorbent cloth; do not rub.
  • Do not saturate fabric or use bleach, harsh chemicals or untested cleaners.
  • Protect from radiators, open flames, strong heat and prolonged direct sunlight.
  • Use a professional upholstery cleaner for deep cleaning and test any treatment on an inconspicuous area.

Velvet and pile fabrics

Pile direction changes how light reflects and can create natural shading. Gently brush with a suitable soft fabric brush, following the pile. Pressure marks often ease with careful steaming by a professional; do not hold a domestic iron or steamer directly against the fabric.

Boucle and textured fabrics

Use low-suction vacuuming and avoid snagging loops with jewellery, pet claws or sharp objects. Do not cut a pulled loop without professional advice, as this may worsen the damage.

Mattresses

  • Use a breathable mattress protector.
  • Rotate weekly during the first month, then approximately every three months, unless the model instructions state otherwise.
  • Turn only a double-sided mattress designed to be turned.
  • Do not bend or fold a sprung mattress.
  • Ventilate the room and allow a new mattress to air after unpacking.

Ottoman storage

  • Operate the lift using the designated handles and keep fingers clear of hinges.
  • Use the correct mattress weight; the mechanism may behave differently without it.
  • Distribute stored items evenly and keep them below moving parts.
  • Do not overload the storage floor or allow children to play inside the compartment.
  • Stop using the mechanism and contact IMAANI if a strut, hinge or frame becomes loose or damaged.

Divan drawers and fixings

Do not overload drawers or use them as steps. Pull evenly using the handle and keep runners clear. Recheck bed bolts, centre supports and feet periodically, especially after moving the bed.

Moving the bed

Remove the mattress and dismantle the frame into appropriate sections before relocating it. Dragging or lifting an assembled bed can twist joints, damage feet and invalidate warranty cover for resulting damage.
